Overview

SwoleQuest ("we", "us", or "our") is a fitness tracking application that gamifies your workout experience. We are committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about what we collect and how we use it.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address (if signing up with email)
• Display name and username
• Discord account information (if signing up with Discord)

Fitness & Health Data

To provide our core service, we collect and store:

• Workout logs (type, duration, distance, date)
• Body weight entries
• Nutrition and meal logs (calories, macros)
• Fitness goals (calorie targets, weekly workout goals)
• Weekly training schedule

Third-Party Integration Data

If you choose to connect third-party apps, we import and store:

• Strava: Activity name, type, duration, distance, and date. We store OAuth tokens to enable syncing.
• Fitbit: Activity name, type, duration, distance, and date. We store OAuth tokens to enable syncing.
• Google Fit: Workout session type, duration, and date. We store OAuth tokens and your Google account email for display purposes.

All third-party integrations are optional. We only request read-only access and never write data back to these services.

Usage Data

We collect basic usage information such as XP earned, achievements unlocked, and streak history to power the gamification features of SwoleQuest.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the SwoleQuest service
• Display your fitness progress, stats, and gamification data
• Sync workouts from connected third-party services
• Calculate XP, levels, streaks, and achievements
• Display your data on an opt-in public leaderboard (only if you choose to participate)
• Send you account-related emails such as email verification

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except as described in this policy.

Leaderboard & Public Data

SwoleQuest includes an optional leaderboard. Participation is opt-in only and can be toggled at any time in Settings. If you opt in, your display name, level, XP, and workout count may be visible to other SwoleQuest users. No health metrics (weight, calories, macros) are ever shown publicly.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a hosted PostgreSQL database platform. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. OAuth tokens for third-party integrations are stored securely and are only used to sync your data.

SwoleQuest is hosted on Cloudflare Pages.

Third-Party Services

SwoleQuest integrates with the following third-party services. Their use of your data is governed by their own privacy policies:

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Delete your account and all associated data at any time via Settings → Danger Zone
• Disconnect any third-party integration at any time via Settings → Integrations
• Opt out of the leaderboard at any time via Settings

When you delete your account, all your data — including workouts, meals, weight logs, goals, and integration tokens — is permanently removed.

Children's Privacy

SwoleQuest is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of SwoleQuest after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
